Tis the season...and beyond

Believe it or not things around the Willis household have been low key by our standards lately, and we have enjoyed being home and spending time together.

Backing up just a little, we went on a camping trip for my birthday at the end of October. We were joined by friends which was extra special because there was more than one birthday in the group! Yay!

We slept in tents- that we set up in the dark. Thank goodness for  head lamps.

We had a fun Halloween. Andy and Brooks came to visit for a concert. We were the best looking folks there. As if there was any doubt.

Biggest Willis news is that David started a new job this month. He officially started working at Bank of America two weeks ago and seems to be adjusting well. The biggest benefit (that we know of right now and appreciate the most) is the commute- or should we say lack there of...

The holidays flew by- so fast in fact that I didn't have time to finish this post till it was almost February. But hopefully once I am caught up, there will be no more excuses and regular updates.

Can't pass up including the fun Christmas card we created to send to family that couldn't be with us. Sometimes it is the simplest pleasures that bring us joy. I am afraid I can't take credit for the idea- that goes to my lil bro, but I did use my killer editing skills to bring it all together.

January was filled with snow and cold and lots of girls basketball. I am really enjoying coaching a 14 and under team with "Papa Grande" (this is how the girls affectionately refer to dad- also known as the best assistant coach in the world).

They really are a fun group of girls to work and play with...

 

and sometimes they are even funny looking too!

 

I forgot how much I missed the game and having the pink jersey's is really just an extra bonus.
