Ta Da!

It is finally time to unveil the new Willis bungalow. So without any further adieu...

Here it is!

This is a quick picture that I snapped on my phone as we headed to the airport on our way to Dublin. I haven't had time to take "real" pictures of it yet, but I felt the need to get an "after" photo up for all of you who don't live near enough to drive by and check it out.

So just to get the full impact, here is the before shot again.

and the AFTER.

We are VERY pleased with the outcome, but cannot wait to plant some grass and bushes, as well as get a lovely window box for under that left side window. I plan to spray paint our patio furniture black (assuming you can paint "plastic wicker" which I am not entirely sure of yet) and maybe get a new fixture for the porch. No rush though, we are still glowing in the newness of the exterior. Thanks to all of you out there who encouraged and supported us through the process, especially when it came to the painting of the brick, we are appreciate the nudges in the right direction.

Our recent trip to Dublin (and watching the 1995 BBC Pride & Prejudice Miniseries) inspired us to give our new house a name (think Mark Darcy's estate, "Pemberley.")

So maybe it isn't as grand a Pemberley (seen above) but we long to find a name to describe our own little mini-estate that is equally as charming in our eyes. We are open to suggestions and would value your input, so far I like, "The Willows" (Thanks Kalle!) but David isn't sold- any ideas? We could use the help.

We can't wait to say things like, "Did you enjoy your stay at The Willows [or insert name of choice here]?" or "Next time you are in Charlotte you should swing by the Willows for a visit."  Yes, I realize I am a total dork, but you have to admit, it might just stick!

Real life was waiting for us when we got back so this week has been a blur. More pictures of our trip and adventure in Dublin coming soon.
